Can fragility be structurally sound? I see my line quality in cracked concrete and tangled telephone wires. I see my shapes in maps and scientific textbooks. I am interested in burgeoning organic shapes, the reticulation of line work and the dialogue between the two. I have become enthralled with the fragility of my structural lines and the soundness of my organic shapes. The biomorphic quality of my shapes creates a sense of intimacy that relates to the body within structures and spaces. I am interested in introducing a purposefully uncontrollable element into my process. The combination of the controlled and the uncontrollable creates a flow that is rooted in experimentation.
